Trust & Safety

Our Trust & Safety team is committed to keeping our online community safe. We have invested significantly in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly, often before it reaches our general community.

Our QA team takes ownership of ensuring quality success for internal and external stakeholders. They identify and clear blockers to high performance while supporting teams in their drive for excellence. QAs monitor performance, provide critical reporting to stakeholders, and contribute to the success and growth of our teams.

Successful candidates must work with cross-functional (XFN) teams to identify project needs, navigate ambiguous situations, and set clear SMART goals. They should also take ownership of the role, suggest process improvements, and develop best practice methodologies for QA functions.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver high-performance standards across projects and develop best practices for maintaining excellence.
  • Facilitate regular calibration meetings with stakeholders to uphold knowledge and quality standards and provide feedback on implementation and execution.
  • Collaborate with the Policy POC to disseminate policy updates to teams and ensure timely communication of policy questions between stakeholders.
  • Perform daily audits, analyze errors, and provide feedback to respective teams.
  • Compile and deliver regular performance data reports to SMEs and management as required.
  • Conduct regular root cause analysis (RCA) escalations following the relevant processes.
  • Identify and address performance improvement areas across markets with proactive and solution-driven strategies.
  • Lead or participate in policy briefings to ensure alignment with market, socio-political, and geographical conditions.
  • Balance task delivery efficiently using relevant platforms like TCS or Rock Appeal.
  • Provide temporary support in market gaps as needed.
  • Support onboarding teams in developing training SOPs, materials, and legacy planning.
  • Perform regular queue moderation or participate in knowledge quizzes to maintain policy implementation skills.
  • Design and implement training plans within specified timelines.
  • Note: This role involves exposure to sensitive content, including but not limited to vulgar material, violence, pornography, and fake news.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year QA or relevant experience in trust and safety or policy in a major tech or media company.
  • Broad understanding of business needs, strategic thinking skills, and decision-making ability in complex situations.
  • Familiarity with labeling business logic and upstream-downstream workflows.
  • Fluency in German for communication with German markets; fluency in English as the working language.
  • Ability to report to and collaborate with a wide range of XFN partners.
  • Fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the short video product user industry.
  • Experience in content moderation, quality, safety, or labeling is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with machine learning and content understanding.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
