We’re looking for a SuppOps / DevOps Engineer to join our growing Support & Integration team. This is a unique opportunity to bring your ideas and expertise to a fast-growing B2B FinTech company.
The Support Team DevOps (SuppOps) Engineer is a newly created position where the top priority is to deliver high-value tooling in short periods of time through cross-team collaboration. As a result, the SuppOps Engineer needs specific interpersonal and technical skills in order to be successful. In other words, it requires a mix of “soft” and “hard” skills.
This role focuses on conducting investigations and analysis to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce efficiencies in the delivery of AxeTrader, our e-trading platform, to new customers or new features of it to existing ones, while remotely working in close contact with our production team based in Germany to effectively deliver customer projects.
As a “SuppOps” Engineer, you will…
determine relevant steps toward deployment and optimisations, and determine if there are QA activities, tools and frameworks that can be reused for other tasks within Support and Integration, such as reproducing production issues, working with specific test environments and accessing platforms that are used by QA.
own and operate the fundamental tools and environments that the entire Support and Integration team uses, including customer-facing capabilities.
feel comfortable supporting both internal and external clients, as well as troubleshoot issues when they arise.
monitor the hosted products in real time.
help resolve problems either through online support or technical troubleshooting.
ensure everything plays nicely together during pre- and post-production stages. All the tools will serve a purpose in the delivery pipeline so knowing how and when each contributes, as well as which dependencies to consider, will be key to a flawless delivery chain.
understand how to use an assortment of complex tools that work together to support software delivery objectives and improve current processes to ensure greatest efficiency of resource utilisation.
get meaningful alerts when something is wrong or unavailable.
know how to ensure production systems’ uptime and availability.
understand the customer needs and how they relate to development processes and deployment planning.
