Job Description

AppNexus is looking for an Account Director to manage and grow a book of business consisting of some of AppNexus’ largest and most strategic publisher clients in Central Europe. Responsibilities include cultivating senior client relationships to understand clients’ business needs and consult on the application of AppNexus’ technology to achieve their goals. The Account Director must have a mix of revenue driving, technical, and consultative selling acumen to achieve this working with a diverse set of internal stakeholders for delivery, all while also overseeing the day to day maintenance of the account relationship. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated executive-level strategic, commercial and technical execution. AppNexus seeks candidates who are proactive, results-driven, and thrive in team-oriented and fast-paced environments.

About the team:

Sales & Account Management is a driven and results-oriented organization that helps bring AppNexus’ digital advertising products to market. Our focus is building our clients’ businesses through leading-edge technology solutions, intuitive and effective ad serving tools, and strategic business consulting. We develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of publishers and advertisers to help them more effectively reach their target audience through real-time ad serving, allowing them to manage and grow their digital advertising business. Our team is seeking innovative, passionate, and driven people who can foster strong client relationships, meet sales quotas, and drive awareness of our products.

About the job:

Identify, cultivate, and manage business partnerships across Central Europe to drive high profile client success and revenue
Develop a thorough understanding of clients’ business, the advertising technology industry, and the competitive landscape
Understand the clients’ commercial goals & objectives; create programs and projects that support those goals, helping them evolve their business to take advantage of developments in the AppNexus product suite and the advertising landscape
Work closely with the Solutions Consulting team to align on initiatives required to achieve long term customer success
Manage cross-functional projects (e.g. Product, client or market specific)
Participate in regional client events (including client forums, trainings, etc.)
Manage business and technical escalations and communicate with all stakeholders to maintain momentum and ensure success

About your skills and experience:

Strong track record of building and maintaining senior-level client relationships to grow large, complex accounts
Skill in evaluating opportunities and driving change in client businesses to exceed client and revenue expectations
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex technical issues, translating them into commercially impactful plans
Programmatic experience (either publisher, network, or ad-tech company) preferred
Confidence in presenting, written and verbal communications both on English and German.
Willingness to share knowledge, facilitate team rapport, and maintain excellent cross-functional partnerships
